As a GIS Professional I am very ambitious and passionate about Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, and anything related to cartography and mapping. I began to study Cartography, GIS, and Remote Sensing in 2007. In 2009 I obtained my BA in geography, and soon after began my career as a GIS Technician. Within 9 months I was promoted to the position of GIS Quality Control Technician. Then in May of 2014 I accepted a position working as a GIS Specialist, in which I have the pleasure and opportunity of working on a myriad of exciting projects, while collaborating with like minded GIS Professionals.
In the Summer of 2015 I obtained my Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification through the Geographic Certification Institute (GISCI). Additionally, in Fall of 2016 I graduated from The Johns's Hopkins University with a Master's Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Furthermore I am active in several GIS professional organizations. Currently I am the President for the Ohio Chapter of Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA). I am also a member of the Appalachian Ohio Geospatial Data Partnership (AOGDP).
