This research project investigated areas to evaluate the "Clean India Mission" (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan), which was an Indian country-wide campaign which began in 2014 to improve solid waste management. The researcher identified, mapped and analyzed patterns of informal dumpsites in selected wards under the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation with a primary focus on population social behavior and responsibilities to evaluate the success of the campaign's implementation. The project's study area is the Jodhpur ward, falling under the South-West Zone of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
Join us for this webinar to learn about how GIS was applied to gather the findings, which will discuss the factors of commercial waste collection, dustbin locations, collection timing, and the social behavior and responsibilities of the general public.
